An Outgoing-Editor"s Note on the Review Process of the Korean Journal of Management

  본 논문은 「인사ㆍ조직연구」지의 논문게재 심사과정에 대하여 논의하였다. 논문게재 심사제도의 현황과 심사기준을 요약하고, 논문심사과정에서 파생될 수 있는 문제점들을 제시하였다. 게재논문과 게재거부 논문들의 현황자료를 통해 심사기준과 심사관행의 유형들을 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 논문게재 심사과정이 적절하게 수행되고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 결론적으로, 연구 결과를 통해 논문게재 심사과정에 대한 제언과 향후 연구과제를 제시하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper discusses the blind review process of the Korean Journal of Management. Evaluation procedures and criteria for accepting (or rejecting) the submitted papers are examined in terms of the duration of holding papers by referees and authors, respectively. Referees&quot; review styles and decision tendencies are also identified based on their academic affiliation as well as status at the Korean Academy of Management. The effects of the authors&quot; academic affiliation and career backgrounds on the final decisions are analyzed as well.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The review process of the Korean Journal of Management seems to be rigorous and fairly reasonable judging from the rejection rate and the promptness of the whole evaluation process. Some related issues and problems are suggested for further discussion.
