With China’s entering into the WTO, developing effective cross-cultural leadership teams has become a key task for meeting the challenge of global leadership. This paper presents the main findings from three recent studies on leadership competencies and leadership team development in Chinese companies and international joint ventures. These recent researches have provided systematic evidence formulating the strategies of developing effective leadership teams and global leadership development.
