A Study on the Influence of Customer's Separation by Hairdresser's Transfer

A purpose of the research can be divided into two main factors. Firstly, the research aims at identifying the correlation among three variables, customer's preference to a hairdresser and to a hairsalon, and customer's separation by hairdresser's transfer. Secondly, it will verify how hairdresser personal care services, namely relational benefit and benefits influence on customer's preference to the hairdresser and the salon respectively. Seven hyphotheses has been deduced and a survey was conducted from two hundred and fifty five customers of salons. At the result of the research, as a customer has high personal preference to hairdressers, so the extent on which customer's separation from the salon due to hairdresser's transfer is high. On the other hand, as a customer has high preference to the salon, so a customer's separation becomes low. When it comes to the influnence of both factors of preference to a hairdresser and to a salon, loyalty to a hairdresser is more stronger than to a salon. Pertaining to correlation between the relational benefits and preference to hairdresser and to salon, confidence benefit can only give a meaningful impact on preference to both factors.
