유아 세계시민교육 프로그램 모델 개발 연구

A Design of Global citizenship Education Program Model for Young Children

본 연구는 세계화시대에 유아를 위한 세계시민교육 프로그램에 대한 모델을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌분석을 통해, 세계시민교육 프로그램의 교육목표, 교육내용의 요소를 추출하여 교육목표와 교육내용을 설정하였다. 2007년 개정 유치원교육과정에서 세계시민교육의 근거를 찾고, 세계 시민교육을 사회생활영역과 연계하여 모델을 개발하였다. 이를 기초로 2007년 개정 유치원교육과정에 따른 생활주제에 기초한 세계시민교육실시하기 위한 교수–학습방법을 제시하였다. 이와 같이 교육목표, 내용을 포함한 구체적인 세계시민교육 모델의 개발은 세계시민교육을 현장에 적용함에 있어 실제적인 유용성을 제공할 수 있다.

The Purpose of this study was to develop global citizenship education program for young children. In order go achieve the purpose the study first proceeded with analysis of criteria for objectives and contents of global citizenship education program. On the basis of such an analysis, the five major areas of global citizenship education were drawn such as Human rights, Global village, Diversity, Peace and natural environment. On the basis of this analysis further steps were taken clarifying the process of integrating the instructional methods and activities for the global citizenship education. This global education program model including objectives and contents will serve as a practical resource for increasing teaching competency and professional development.
