This paper first aims to investigate the basic characteristics and the criteria of the stereotypical predicative nouns, and then to find the criteria of the peripheral predicative nouns. Two basic characteristics of predicative nouns is to have the argument structure and the aspectual character which is able to combine the predicative noun phrase with aspectual nouns or aspectual verbs. I discriminated the lexical predication from the pragmatic predication on the base of the aspectual criterion. Also They make judge correctly whether a noun have aspectual character or not. 이병규(2001) insisted that the predicative noun phrase can not combine with determiners. But his insist prover not to true. I suggested that if the noun in question functions as a constituent of [noun+verb] complex predicate, it is predicative noun. By the way, this criterion is not from [noun+verb] complex predicate, they is not the predicative nouns whether they have argument or not. And The nouns which function as head of noun phrase with argument also is the predicative nouns because they have the status of noun only in [noun+verb] complex predicate.
