우리나라 물류산업의 성장요인별 국민경제기여도 분석

A Study on the Contribution of Logistics Industry to the Korean Economy through the Decomposition of the Aggregate Output

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 물류산업의 산업연관관계 및 성장요인별 국민경제기여도 변화추이를 산업연관표의 총산출 분해(Aggregate Output Decomposition)를 통해 분석하는 것이다. 산업연관관계 분석결과 최근 들어 타 산업과의 전후방연관관계가 약화되고 있다. 성장요인별 국민경제기여도 분석결과 요인별 기여도(절대차평균)는 가장 최근기간인 2000~2003년 중 최종재수입대체(3.7%), 중간재수입대체(2.6%), 최종수요(0.02%), 기술변화(-1.6%), 수출수요(-3.5%) 등의 순으로 나타났다. 최종재수입대체 기여도는 소폭 높아진 반면, 수출수요 기여도는 마이너스로 대폭 낮아졌다. 기술변화의 경우 총중간투입비용 대비 수입중간재투입비율의 증가속도가 높아져 수입중간재 투입에 의한 영향력이 커지고 있다. 따라서 물류 산업의 활성화를 위해서는 무엇보다 수출수요 제고가 요구되며, 수출수요 확대를 위해서 3PL(3자물류), 4PL(4자물류) 등 종합물류서비스기업의 육성이 필요하다. 타 산업과의 전후방연관효과를 제고할 수 있는 관련산업의 활성화도 뒷받침되어야 한다. 또한 최종수요 기여도 제고를 위해서는 물류산업의 투자활성화도 요구된다.

The purpose of the study is to figure out the inter-industry relationship of logistics industry by the input-output analysis. In particular, this study examines the logistics industry’s contribution to the Korean economy through the decomposition of aggregate output. Major findings of this study are as follows : First, logistics industry’s contribution to the growth of aggregate output rapidly decreased after the Year 1995~2000, although the ratio of logistics industry to the Korean economy were higher than other individual industries. Second, logistics industry’s export, final demand and technological change have played key roles on the growth to the Korean economy. However, these three factors’ contribution of logistics industry to the Korean economy has decreased sharply, except for import substitution of the intermediary goods after the year 1995~2000. In conclusion, demand for export and final demand have been the important factors and put a major impact on the logistics industry for a last decade. Thus, for the development and sustainable growth of the logistics industry, it is required to promote the logistics-related forward and backward industries. Especially, it is required not only to promote logistics-related firms(e.g., 3PL, 4PL, etc.), but also to enlarge the related R&D investment.
