「논어」 에 나타난 공자의 역사관

A Study on a historical view of Confucius in the Analects

이 글은 역사의 사실ㆍ방향ㆍ유형을 중심으로 「논어」 에 나타난 공자의 역사관을 다루고 있다. 역사의 대상으로서 사실은 내재적 특징보다 명분론적 사고에서 재해석된다는 점을 밝힌다. 역사의 진행 방향은 복고나 퇴보 사관이 아니라 전체적으로 발전 사관에 가깝다는 점을 해명하고 있다. 역사 시기의 문제를 해결하기 위해서 文質이란 유형론을 설정한다는 점을 밝히고 있다. 이를 통해 공자는 현재의 자원으로서 과거도 있지만 과거보다 나은 현재, 현재보다 나은 미래에 대한 낙관적 전망을 갖는 역사관을 피력하고 있다는 점을 밝혔다.

I have dealt with a historical view of Confucius in the Analects, focused on historical fact, direction, and types that he matters. Facts as historical object are related to the way of thinking that mainly reinterpreted by ethical obligation. They are by no means implied pure and objective actions. Confucius believed that the direction of history unfolds in expansive and developmental way, not retrogressive and degraded way. In order to problem of specific period, Confucius and his fellows, especially Dong Zhong-shu董 仲舒 have introduces the concept of wenzhi into two types of historical development according to alternation of wen with zhi period.
