The Purpose of this study was to find out the effects of content-based language teaching that is thought to provide authentic and diverse language input that focused on English and Music. To achieve this purpose after experimental instruction, the change of the degree of the concentration on the task and cognitive characteristics between the treatment group(content-based instruction class) and the comparative group(normal class) were compared. The results of this study are as follows: First, within the cognitive domain, differences in the pretest and post-test listening and speaking skills were statistically significant between the experimental group and the control group. However, differences in reading were not statistically significant between the experimental group and the control group. Nevertheless, the average reading scores of the content-based instruction improved. Second, the degree of achievement and comprehension in Music, including cognitive competence and the learning product was effective and did not have any negative effects on the other English integrated subjects. Third, the qualitative analysis of interviews and comments revealed that content-based instruction was effective. Students showed a high the degree of concentration on the task. The more they took classes the more they showed interest and self-confidence in English.
