A Study on the Management Program of the Open Port in GyeongNam

Recently government has an idea of the transfer of the management authority on the open port to local government and is ready for revise the related laws. So local government have to concern about the management of the open port. At present, port and port logistics industry in GyeongNam is in weak position. Therefore being a local government, GyeongNam, it’s a great change. But if GyeongNam has to accept this change, it is the most plan to make the best use of this change. One of the various plans is to establish a GyeongNam Port Authority. If GyeongNam Port Authority is established, specialized organization and personnel having expert knowledge and technic could make to manage the port effectively. Although the port environments in GyeongNam is very difficult, GyeongNam Port Authority can present dramatic chance to activate the port and port logistics industry. Moreover this change can lead the growth the local economy.
