The purpose of this study was to analyze the types of scientific emotion which occurred in the generation of abductive science-knowledge. Two question- generation tasks were administered to 86 college students and two hypothesis-generation tasks were administered to 149 college students for the collection of emotional words. The results of this study showed that interest was the most important emotion, occurring 38.6% with many different words referring to positive emotion. The next frequently occurred emotion was refusal (17.1%) that is a negative emotion. In addition, we discussed the relation between the interest and the refusal.
