Analysis for Sewing Technique of Fur Fabrics Expressed in Fashion Collection

Since the earliest time on man began to hunt animals and wear furs. Since then fur industry has been developed greatly in terms of design, material, usage and style until now. From the simple function of protecting body from the cold in old times, the furs have taken an important position among the fashion items now. In this treatise, the author reviewed theoretical study on the fur industry on the basis of prior researches and related references, and also classified the skills for manufacturing furs and method of its sewing on the basis of images expressed in the 2005-2007 FW Collection. The author classified image of external forms of furs as vertical, horizontal, crossing of vertical and horizontal, and oblique lines on the basis of the form of lines which could be observed after cutting and sewing furs for manufacturing. As for the method of processing furs, there can be many different and mixed techniques for manufacturing furs rather than only one method. Therefore, it is desirable to use furs in various styles and to continue further research in this area will be required.
