It is a grotesqueness. Shrek and Princess Bari shows a lot of grotesqueness, for example, grotesque character(monster), grotesque behavior, grotesque storyline, and grotesque morality. Grotesqueness always has an ambivalence and that is the virtue of grotesqueness. Through these grotesqueness, Princess Bari pursues a new cognition in a matter of life and death.
