소비자 욕구가 개성화, 다양화되어 가고 고객의 서비스 향상과 경쟁우위 확보에 물류가 차지하는 비중이 날로 커지고 있는 현 상황에서 우리나라 대표 전자업체의 물류관리 실태를 알아보고 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 대표 기업인 S전자를 대상으로 한 사례연구를 실시하였으며 S전자의 물류정보시스템 도입전 문제점과 배경의 분석으로부터 도입 및 구축경과에 대한 검토와 물류정보시스템의 표준 및 사후관리 프로세스에 대한 연구, 구축현황 및 구축 후 실제적인 주요성과에 대한 연구를 통해 효율적인 물류정보시스템 구축이 기업 경쟁력 제고와 고객만족에 기여함을 검증하였다. 물류정보시스템 구축을 통해서 첫째, 즉시 배송 및 적극적인 고객 요구 대처와 최적의 물류서비스 제공. 둘째, 일관된 물류정보시스템 구축으로 경쟁력 향상과 비용절감 효과 증대. 셋째, 경영전략 차원에서 물류정보 기술 활용으로 경쟁우위 확보. 넷째, 지속적인 재구축과 개선으로 물류의 효율성 증가가 필요하며 마지막으로 본 사례연구를 통해서 효율적인 물류시스템 구축 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 유용성을 찾을 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to provide opportunities to compare and benchmark other companies that have established and operated logistics information system through the analysis of the progress and performance. The international and domestic cases which have been successful in promoting efficient logistics management are considered. In order to set up a goal and direction to evaluate and improve the competitiveness of logistics management, this paper focuses on the case study of domestic company (S Electronics) that operates a world-class logistics information system. The theoretical background of the study has been developed by reviewing literature related to logistics management. In order to find competitive factors, both international and domestic cases for logistics management efficiency are addressed. Moreover, this paper investigates the factors that can affect the establishment of efficient information system which can enhance the efficiency of logistics management. Then, the methodology to establish logistics information system in domestics companies is developed by analyzing various case studies in the literature. This study provides a direction to promote efficient logistics management system by analyzing the case studies related to the logistics information system.
