한문교육용 기초한자의 字形과 字序에 대한 管見

A study on the letter type and letter arrangement order of the basic Chinese characters for a Chinese writing education

교육부 제정 한문교육용 기초한자 1,800자는 1972년에 처음 제정되었으며, 2000년에 한국한문교육학회의 연구를 통해 일부 글자가 조정되어 현재 사용되고 있다. 한문교육용 기초한자에 대한 연구는 다방면에서 이루어졌지만, 字形, 字音, 字義, 字量, 字序각각에 대한 세밀한 연구는 부족한 형편이다. 이에 본고에서는 이 가운데 字形과 字序의 문제에서 고려해야 할 점에 대해 논의를 진행하였다. 字形부분에서는 正字, 本字, 俗字(異體字), 假借字(通假字)의 개념에 대해 살펴보면서, 한문교육용 기초한자에서 異體字나 俗字가 아닌 正字를 사용하는 것을 원칙으로 하되, 널리 통용되어 사용되는 속자나 이체자가 기초한자에 채택된 경우에는 본뜻에 바탕하여 만들어진 글자인 本字로 대체하여 그것을 正字로 삼자는 의견을 제시하였다. 또한 字序부분에서는 韓·中·日 漢字表의 한자 배열 방식 및 그 특징에 대해 살펴보면서, 한문교육용 기초한자에 대한 연구에서 字序에 대한 문제도 논의의 대상으로 삼아야 한다는 점을 언급하였다.

The basic Chinese characters, 1,800 letters, for Chinese writing education established by the Ministry of Education were first enacted in 1972 and is now used with some letters adjusted through the study of Society for Classical Chinese Education in 2000. Though there have been a variety of studies on the basic Chinese characters for a Chinese writing education, but only a few studies on each of the letter type, the sound of the letter, the meaning of the letter and the quantity of the letter and the letter arrangement order. Accordingly, in this article, the study was limited to the letter type and the letter arrangement order. In the letter type section, we examined the concept of a proper letter(a letter in the proper shape), a main letter(a letter made by the main meaning), a popular letter(a letter type used by the populace) and a different type letter(a letter whose shape is different from others). The proposal was presented that basically not a different type letter or a popular letter but a proper letter should be used in the basic Chinese characters for a Chinese writing education, but in case of a popular letter or a different type letter, which are widely accepted and used, they should be substituted by a proper letter. Also, we looked into the arrangement method and characteristics of Chinese characters showed in the Chinese characters table(the table on which Chinese characters are arranged) of Korean, Chinese and Japanese and also proposed that a problem of the letter arrangement order should be discussed in the study on the basic Chinese characters for a Chinese writing education.
