A Study on the Factor Affecting and Performance of RFID System

기업은 유비쿼터스의 핵심 기술이라 할 수 있는 비접촉 인식시스템인 RFID에 많은 관심과 투자를 아끼지 않고 있다. 기존의 바코드 시스템에 비해 RFID가 갖는 압도적인 이점으로 인해 RFID 기술의 활용분야 중 물류부문에 미치는 파급효과는 매우 클 것으로 기대되고 있었으나, 여러 전문가들의 기대와는 달리 RFID 시스템의 적용은 더딘 속도로 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 RFID 시스템에 대한 이론적 배경을 살펴보았으며, 이를 바탕으로 국내 물류부문에 RFID 시스템의 도입요인과 효과요인을 추출하여 요인분석을 실시하였다. 또한 국내 물류부문에 RFID 시스템을 도입한 업체 및 기관에 설문조사를 하여 이를 바탕으로 도입요인이 도입효과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 실증분석을 하였다.

Nations and companies have a significant interest and investment about the wireless system that is called RFID as it can be seen as the core technology of ubiquitous. Nonetheless, while the expectation for the application of RFID in the logistics sector was tremendous due to the overwhelming advantages that the technology possess compared to the existing bar code system, the actual speed of RFID adoption has been slower than what most experts have anticipated. In such respect, this paper will examine the theoretical background, applicable areas, progress and adoption cases of RFID. Also, it will investigate the existing researches on the factors contributing to the introduction of a new IS and provide factor-analysis by deriving the factors contributing to such introductions and effects of the RFID system application in the domestic distribution sector. Additionally, this paper attempted to prove what impact the these introduction factor have on the post-introduction effects by conducting surveys on domestic firms and institutions that adopted the RFID systems in the distribution sector.
