수용·표현 어휘력검사(Receptive Expressive Vocabulary Test)의 타당도 연구

Validity of the Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test on Preschool Children with Language Delay

본 연구는 한국인의 수용 및 표현 어휘력을 검사하기 위해 개발 중인 ‘수용․표현 어휘력 검사’를 실제 적용하기 위한 기초연구로서 검사도구의 타당도 검증을 목적으로 한다. 내용타당도 검증을 위해 언어병리학 관련 전문가들을 대상으로 어휘와 그림에 대한 적절성을 평가하도록 하였다. 또한 수용․표현 어휘력 검사도구가 일반아동과 언어발달지체아동간 어휘력 차이를 판별해줄 수 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 생활연령과 성별을 일치시킨 4-6세의 일반아동과 언어발달지체아동들을 대상으로 수용․표현 어휘력 검사를 실시하였다. 마지막으로 일반아동 및 언어발달지체 아동들을 대상으로 그림어휘력검사, 아동용 한국판 보스톤이름대기 검사, 수용․표현 어휘력 검사를 실시하여 공인타당도를 검증하였다. 전문가 평가를 통한 내용타당도 분석 결과 수용어휘검사 및 표현어휘검사에 대한 평가는 4점 만점에 각각 3.63점과 3.51점으로 내용의 타당성을 검증받았다. 또한 수용․표현어휘력 검사 결과 일반아동과 언어발달지체아동간에 집단간 차이가 유의하게 나타남으로써 언어발달지체 아동을 판별해 내는 도구로 사용하기에 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 공인타당도 검증 결과 기존의 어휘검사 도구들과 높은 상관을 나타냄으로써 어휘검사로서의 타당도가 검증되었다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the validity of the Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test (REVT). To verify the validity of the test materials, the appropriateness of the vocabulary and figures was evaluated by speech language pathology related experts. Additionally, to determine whether the Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test tools can distinguish differences in vocabulary proficiency between normal children and children with language developmental delay, the Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test was performed targeting normal children and children with language developmental delay of the same chronological age and gender. Lastly, concurrent validity was verified by performing PPVT-K, K-BNT-C, and the Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test targeting normal children and children with language developmental delay. The results obtained in the present study were as follows. First, the contents validity evaluation showed that an average score of 3.57 was obtained out of 5. Second, the Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test showed differences between the groups of normal children and children with language developmental delay. Third, the REVT-R scores were highly correlated with the PPVT-K. Forth, the REVT-E scores were highly correlated with the K-BNT-C. The results from this study suggest that the Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test (REVT) is valid.
