국내 IT프로젝트의 산업별 발전과정

The Development of IT Projects on Different Industries in Korea

본 연구는 국내에서 기 수행된 IT 컨설팅을 산업별 프로젝트 유형을 중심으로 체계적으로 수집 및 분석함으로써 그 동안의 IT 컨설팅 발전방향과 앞으로 어떤 방향으로의 수요 및 연구가 필요한지를 제시하고 있다. Venkatraman의 'Five Level of IT-enables Business Recognition[1991]'의 모델을 바탕으로 IT도입에 따른 컨설팅 프로젝트의 변화 4단계를 연구모형으로 하여 분석을 수행했다. 결론적으로 제조, 금융, 그리고 서비스 산업에서의 투자증가로 인한 컨설팅 프로젝트 수요의 증가가 확연하게 나타났다. 이러한 증가추세는 점차 증가하는 국내 IT 컨설팅의 수요에 대한 기업이 산업에서의 경쟁우위를 확보하고자 하는 노력의 결과가 반영된 것으로 해석할 수 있다.

This case study contributes to, and explores the trend of IT consulting projects for different industries in Korea. In doing so, 244 relevant projects conducted by one of the renowned consulting companies in Korea, have been systematically investigated. The Venkatraman's Five Level of IT-enables Business Recognition[1991]' was referenced and reviewed as a study model to describe and explore how IT consulting projects have been evolved over the years. The findings indicate that the investment scales of the companies and organizations are increasing in tendency in the areas of manufacturing, finance, and service industries. The evolution of IT consulting projects is the consequence of the support and assistance to secure a predominant position for companies with the growing needs of the IT consulting projects in Korea.
