A Case of Autopsy Finding of Holoprosencephaly

Holoprosencephaly results from a failure of cleavage of the embryonic brain and is associated with midline facial hypoplasia. We experienced a case of holoprosencephaly. alobar type in the newborn male patient who showed cyclopia, proboscis and extracranial anomalies such as cardiac defect and imperforated anus. We performed and autopsy to make diagnosis of holoprosencephaly, group I alobar type. A brief review of literature was made.
