뇌성마비 환아의 임상적 고찰

A Clinical study of cerebral palsy

Cerebral palsy is a nonprogressive brain disorder occuring during gestation. parturition or neonatal period with resultant abnormality of movement or posture or other deficits. Recently the early diagnosis and early treatment has been emphasized in management of cerebral palsy. We studied 88 cerebral palsied children in Chung Nam National University Hospital and analyzed neuromotor type, age, sex, clinical manifestation, risk factor, EEG, brain CT finding and MRI findings. The results were as follows: 1. Most age distribution of children was from 0 to 5. male to female ratio was 2.5:1. 2. The most common pattern of cerebral palsy was spastic diplegic type 3. The clinical manifestatin of cerebral palsy in order was developmental delay, gait disturbance, seizure, strabismus, mental retardation 4. Frequency of possible risk factors of cerebral palsy in order was 31% of prematurity. 28% of asphyxia, 8% of cerebral hemorrhage, etc. 5. There was a correlation between the seizure and abnormal EEG findings. 6. Abnormal finding of brain CT and MRI were 53% and 76% respectively, cerebral atrophy and hydrocephalus were the most common abnormal indings.
