Epilepsia partialis continua (EPC) first deseribed by Kojewnikow is rare form of focal epilepsy characterised by partial somato-motor status epilepticus due to barious lesions of the motor cortex. In this study, we reviewed the 4 cases on their clinical features, imaging studies, elecrtoencephalographic findings and their treatments. The results were as follows: 1. The range of age was from 2 to 9 years, male and female were 2 cases each other. 2. The initial seizure types were generalized tonic clonic seizure (2 cases), complex febrile convulsion(1 case) and focal seizure (1case). 3. The motor weakness was associated in 3 cases. 4. The EEG findings were asymmetric voltage suppression (3 cases) and multiple spikes or slow waves on one hemisphere in all 4 cases. 5. The MRI findings showed signal alterations on involved areas. 6. The brain 99mTc SPECT was performed in 3 cases, detected hypoperfusion on lesion sites. 7. There were no effective anticonvulsants, only one patient treated with intravenous immunoglobulin and the seizure was slightly improved.
