A case of hydranencephaly combined with intracerebral hemorrhage

Hydranencephaly is a congenital abnormality characterized by complete or almost absence of cerebral hemisphere, which is replace by a cerebrospinal fluid filled cavity. The midbrain and brainstem are relatively intact. The prognosis for development is hopeless and that for survival may be poor, most children within months. Authours experienced a case of hydranencephaly combined with intracerebral hemorrhage. which is diagnosed by clinical evaluation, brain ultrasonogram and magnetic resonance imaging. We presented this case with a brief review of literatures.
