Sibling에 발생한 소아간질의 임상적고찰

Epilepsy in Sibling

The 50 cases of patients with epilepsy in sibling visited to Department of Pediatrics. College of Midicine, Yonsei University during 7 years from January 1987 March 1994 were reviewed on the basis of clinical charicteristics. The results were summerized as follows : 1) The age distribution were : 1 case(2%) under 1year, 14 cases(28%) from 1 to 5 years, 20 cases(40%) from 5 to 10 years, 15 cases(30%) from 10 to 15 years. Sex distribution revealed males to females to be 1.1:1. 2) The type and incidence of seizure were generalized seizure (52%), partial seizure(48%). 3) The type and incidence of seizure were generalized seizure (52%), partial seizure(48%). 3) The 13 patients had same type of epilepsy in sibling. 4) The 7 patients had the febrile convulsion history. 5) The 15 patients were combined with mental retardation. 6) Associated diseases were : 4 cases with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, 3 cases with incontinentia pigmenti, 2 cases with DeLange syndrome, 2 cases with tuberous sclerosis, 2 cases with microcephaly, 2 cases with cerebral palsy, 1 cases with cerebromalacia.
