現代彫刻에서 Organism과 Formalism에 관한 연구

Modern sculptures are generally approached and understood in terms of its style, material, elements and rules, and concept of modeling. This trend makes it difficult to have a complete understanding of them, which is not possible without going over their background and essence, and causes only confusion. We should take a holistic approach when we look at modern sculptures, because the styles are so diverse and the distinction between genres is nonexistent any more. We need to know the main stream of the history of sculptures. This study focuses on the outlook on the world of the sculptors throughout the history. First This study is going to shed a light on the outlook of the world and technology which could be considered the background of modern sculpture, then classify the modern sculpture into two categories, organism and formalism, give some examples of each and compare and analyze them.
