A Quantitative Study on the Korean Nominalization in the Age of Enlightenment. Dongnam Journal of Korean Language & Literature 26. The purpose of the present study is to review the distribution and usage of Korean Nominalization from the age of enlightenment korean papers. This age show the transition period from middle age to enlightenment age, so it has some of meaningful language changes taken as a history of the study of the Korean language. In this paper, we examine the existing hypothesis of nominalization from many materials and we study the meaning of ‘-m’ and ‘ki’which can explain the distribution of nominalization grammar component systemically. As a result, the quantitative study can present the explicit evidence using the numerical analysis and furthermore, it can make for presenting the objective data and revealing the characteristic of nominalization grammar component.(Donga University)
