The purpose of this study was to investigate elementary teachers’ perceptions of instructional multimedia use in their English lessons. The data for this research were attained from 182 elementary school teachers who teach English. The teachers’perceptions of instructional multimedia use were composed of four dimensions: need, frequency of use, effectiveness, and barriers. The data were analyzed by frequency of distribution, mean, stand deviation, t-test and analysis of variance, scheffe test with SPSS14.0K program. The following are the results of this study: The teachers’perceptions of the need, frequency, and effectiveness of instructional multimedia use revealed high scores, and they perceived that the cost and time efficiency are the biggest barrier to developing multimedia materials; and the teachers’ perceptions of instructional multimedia use are significantly related to their personal characters such as gender, age, degree, English teaching experience, ICT teacher training experience. Several suggestions are made for elementary school teachers and teacher training programs to improve multimedia mediated English lessons.
