A survey of teaching stresses of native English teachers: Based on teachers engaged in N university

The purpose of the present survey is to find out the factors of teaching stresses by native English teachers at a Korean university. These days, college English education managed by inviting native English teachers becomes popular. In this situation, it is important to figure out how to increase efficiency of English education conducted by native English teachers. Therefore, as one of the methods to manage native English teachers, this survey focused on the teaching stresses by taking a survey toward 26 native English teachers who engaged in N university. As the results, native English teachers who participated in the survey felt stress least in their teaching. Although it didn't present meaningful statistical difference in comparison with stress average between two types of participants' groups divided by their background information, teaching stresses showed increasing tendency when answerers were male, younger, had shorter length of residence in Korea, shorter experiences in teaching and got more salary.
