This study evaluated the effectiveness of a program designed to help the mentally ill rehabilitate by utilizing Tea in mental health settings. The focus of the study was on the change of three psychosocial characters: self-esteem, self-efficacy, and Quality of life(QL). The program was the 12-week group intervention with 11 the mentally ills in the 'A' Admission Alternative Facility who wanted to participate in the study. Each group session took one hour. Data collected in the pre- and posttest survey analyzed with wilcoxen Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks Test to test three hypotheses. Significant effects were found in the mentally ill's self-esteem and QL. Findings support use of group interventions utilizing Tea and have practice implications of developing a native social work intervention program.
