제조업 생산의 지역별 차이에 대한 검정

A Test of Inter-regional Manufacturing Production Differences in Korea

본 연구는 지역간 제조업별 생산함수의 차이가 존재하는가를 검정하려는 시도이다. 제조업의 지역별 Chow 검정 결과, 강원, 충북, 전북을 비롯하여 서울, 경북이 다른 지역과 다른 제조업 생산구조를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 산업의 지역별 Chow검정 결과 경기 전남지역의 산업들이 비교적 그 직역을 제외한 여타지역의 산업과 동일한 생산함수를 가지고 있는 경우가 많았다. 강원 지역이 다른 지역과 구분되는 생산함수를 가지고 있는 산업이 많았다. 또한 음식료, 섬유, 종이 인쇄, 기계 산업은 절반 이상의 지역이 그 지역을 제외한 다른 지역과 다름 생산함수를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Inter-regional production differences are tested through an estimation of Cobb-Douglas production function of time series data of 1978-1990, using Chow-test. The empirical findings are: (1) From the region-wise Chow test, we find the production discrepancy in Kangwon, Chungbook, Jeonbook, Seoul and Kyungbook. (2) From the industry-wise Chow test, we find by Kyungkee and Chonnam share the same production with the other regions, and Kangwon has the isolated production. In the industries such as food/beverage, paper/printing and machine/tools, the structure are widely dispersed among the regions.
