「Chungtaejun」is a type of traditional cake-tea(餠茶) which Korean usually drank in Changheung and Jeonamprovince by modern times. It is natural fermentative tea to carry and safekeeping. 「Chungtaejun」is Korean ancestor's property in tea history for a long time which many traditional things were changed or disappeared by the needs of the times. This study was investigated tea culture of Changheung Borim Temple, the history of 「Chungtaejun」, and manufacturing method through the literatures. It also suggested the modern succeeding methods through historical, scientific, cultural, and industrial methods. Cake-tea of Borim Temple succeed manufacturing method by Dasan(茶山), Jung Yakyong was introduced to the people by ChowiSunsa and recognized the quality of tea. Borim Temple delivered the original 「Chungtaejun」and custom of drinking tea based on ChowiSunsa(草衣)'s spirit by Japan's colony. ChowiSunsa followed Dasan, Jung Yakyong's tea theory which scientific understanding. 「Chungtaejun」established the status of Korean tea culture in the world and shows its new function which has the deep tastes. According to the study, it was established the base of the identity of tea culture and various tries to diversification. Through this chance, 「Chungtaejun」should be developed the new tea culture and produces the various goods. It requires many studies and efforts to make the new tea culture.
