So far the rules of politeness have been rated in the order of 'hashoshuche' 'Heyasshuche' 'haniche' 'harache' in the Medieval Korean Language. 'Hayashuche' which this thesis focuses on was regarded as the lower level than 'hashoshuche'. The author disagrees with the existing viewpoint. the author regards 'hayashuche' as the same level as 'hashoshuche'. The difference is whether they are formal style and 'hayashuche' is an informal one. The purpose of this thesis is to show that 'hayashuche' is a 'polite informal style' by examining the situation in which that expression was used by contrast with that of 'hashoshuche'.
