Second, according to know about a darker shadow of England and modern civilization, Natsume Soseki was out of aspiration and respect and criticized the British culture sharply, and he tried to pace his way. Third, Natsume Soseki was civilized by accepting modern civilization and felt a possibility of modern Japan in rapid changes. At the same time, he worried about a limit due to sudden changes, mental anguish from keen competition, and so on. However, he neither spoke out against nor made an alternative plan about acceptance of modern civilization.
