‘Price Reversal’ Revisited: Debate or Much Ado for Nothing?

이 논문은 ‘가격역전’과 관련한 최근의 논의들을 돌아보면서, (1) 문제의 ‘논쟁’의 촉발자가 사용한 ‘포도주와 참나무 상자’ 예의 일반성 혹은 특수성을 논하며, (2) 스라파가 표준상품으로 측정된 상대가격의 차이를 이용하여 “상대가격 움직임 방향의 역전”을 논의한 이유를 밝히고, (3) (1)의 예를 사용하여 기술재전환과 자본역전 같은 개념들의 의미를 다시 한 번 명확히 한다.

The paper revisits some recent discussions on ‘price reversal’. By so doing, it (1) clarifies the reason why Sraffa considers the “reversals in the direction of the movement of relative prices” in terms of the difference between two relative prices measured with the standard commodity; (2) discusses the generailty or speciality of the example of ‘old wine and oak chest’ used by the initiator of the debate (not Sraffa); and (3) reminds the reader of the precise meaning of such concepts as the reswitching of techniques and capital reversal.
