소비를 통해 본 서울 도시민의 생활양식

Life Style of Seoul Citizen by Consumption: In Case of Urban Novels Since 1950

본 논문은 서울을 배경으로 하는 47편의 도시소설을 대상으로 도시민의 소비생활양식에 관한 내용을 구분하였다. 소비유형은 의식주, 여가문화, 교통통신, 풍속 및 사회상, 의료와 기타로 구분하였다. 도시소설을 통한 도시민의 소비생활양식에 관한 내용들은 각 시대상황을 반영하고 있다. 따라서 다음과 같은 시대적 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 1950년대의 도시민들은 전쟁으로 인하여 어렵게 살아가는 상황 묘사가 많았고, 60-70년대는 산업화 과정을 겪는 도시민의 소비생활의 변화를 보이고 있었다. 80년대에는 도시민의 소득수준이 높아짐으로써 서구화된 소비행태들이 뚜렷하게 나타나기 시작하였으며, 90-2000년대 는 정보사회와 연관된 특징들이 주요 주제로 나타나고 있다.

This article divided the consumption lifestyle of the citizen of city, about 47 city novels to doing Seoul background. A consumption types divided Food, clothing and shelte, Spare time culture, Transport and communication, Manners and customs and a social image, Medical care and others. Because the various contents about the consumption lifestyle of the citizen of city through a city novel reflected the situation of the time, it was able to confirm a change of the following times with a city novel. In other words, citizens of city of Seoul 1950's, they were in a difficult situation to restore the devastated areas after the war. The city formed the frame of the industrial society progressively in 1960-70's, they treated the citizens of city experienced during industrialization. Especially 1980's is different that in the consumption domain of citizens of city. Also, over the 1990's, characteristics of 2000's appear at affected by the information-intensive society.
