To induce the damaged skin, the backs with a hair cut of 6-week-old healthy BALB/c female mice were exposed to a dose of 400mJ/㎠ UVB once. The certified 100% pure and natural neroli essential oil was blended with an evening primrose oil as a 3% and applied to the UVB-exposed mice twice a day with an amount of 70μL Per each treatment up to 12 times treatment. Then, both 5 mice of the control and the oil treatment mice were sacrificed at 48 hours and 144 hours, respectively, after the UVB exposure. The degree of dermal water capacity in the neroli oil treatment(E) group was higher than that of the control(C) group. The degree of dermal erythema index in the E group was lower than the C group. Infiltration of inflammatory dells including neutrophill in the E group was prominently decreased compared with the C group. Dermal XO activity in the E group was lower compared with the C group. Dermal SOD activity in the E group was significantly higher compared with the C group. And the activities of CAT and GST in the E group were lower compared with the C group.
