These experiments were conducted to evaluate the acaricide susceptibility of the predatory mite, Amblyseius womersleyi Schicha, which is one of the the most effective agents for biological control of the tea red spider mite. Tetranychus kanzawai Kishida. Susceptibility levels of the Sungjun and Bosung populations to azocyclotin, fenpropathrin, pyridaben. fenpyroximate and tebufenpyrad were 1-2 times lower than the Youngam population. However, LC50 values of fenpyroximate and tebufenpyrad for the populations tested were almost similar to the proposed field rate of these acaricides in Korea. Therefore. the use of fenpyroximate and tebufenpyrad for the control of T. kanzawai could be satisfactory in maintaining the density of A. womersleyi in tea field.
