This study was carried out to systemize pure clean green tea cultivation utilizing low input sustainable agriculture system suitable for Kwangju Korea. For this purpose, fertilizer management, yield, agronomic characters. and nitrate content and chemical properities of soil were investigated. The results obtained are as follows. 1. 100 new shoots weight under surface application of fertilizer and 10 cm depth application of fertilizer management was significantly different (p<0.05), as the application amount of fertilizer increased. 100 new shoots weight increased but excessive level. 200kg/l0a decreased in both treatments. 2. Fresh weight under 25 kg/l0a (Nitrogen content base) fertilizer level (10 cm depth application) was highest as the yield of 208.8 kg/l0a (1st experimental year)and fresh weight under 100 kg/l0a(Nitrogen content base) was highest as the yield of 425 kg/l0a (p<0.05). 3. Nitrate content under 200 kg/10a (Nitrogen content base) fertilizer level was above 14 mg/L (1st experimental year) and that under 200 kg/l0a was above 10 mg/L.
