The following conclusions were gotten through philological study on the kinds and characteristics of the Koryo tea and Chinese tea which had taken in the Koryoera. 1. There was every probability that custom of the lump tea which was originated form the end of T'ang was introduced into Silla. 2. In view of the phenomenon that milky colored bubbles were found on the tea water of both nations, making and taking the lump tea applied the following methods correspondingly. CHA LU by Ts'ai Siang TA KUAN CHA LUN by Huei Tsung HSUAN HO PE YUAN KUNG CHA LU by Hsiung Fan PE YUAN PIEH LU by Chao Ju-Li 3. Just like Sung's lump tea, the lump tea of Koryo was also black in the lump status and was white powder after grinding by mill-stone. 4. Customs of drinking tea, such as drawn tea type that the leaf tea was taken form the tea pot and another type that the leaf tea was taken from the tea cup, were originated form the times of Southern Sung of China. 5. It is presumed that "Nung Shu"(農書) which was written by Wang Jung(王禎) had influence on the custom of the leaf tea taken in the end of Koryo.
