In 1940. the latter part of the Japanese colonical days, a result which philologically studied "Tea and Dhyana in Korea" 「朝鮮の茶と禪」which Prof. Moro-Oka Damots (諸岡 存, 1879-1996) of the Komazawa college and Mr. Ieiri Kazuo(家人一雄, 1900-1982) who was a forest ranger of the forest division of Chollanamdo provincial office published under joint authorship can be summarized as follows. Through “History and distribution of Korean Tea” Prof. Moro-Oka Damots has an exploit in study and advertisement of cake tea, looking like a brass coin with a hole in the center, and a fault which presented unreasonable matters to enumerate the cause of decay of tea drinking custom. Manufacturing and utilization of cake tea and Back Woon Ock Pan Tea(白雲玉版茶, leaf tea) which Mr. Ieiri Kazuo investigated and announced through “An on-the-spot survey” greatly affected in this field as a result of the precious Folk-lore Botanical study. But, there was a fault in the translation version of “A Biography of Tea Spirit (「茶神傳」)” written by Dhyana Priest, Cho Eui(艸衣禪師, 1786-1866), which was collected and translated by him. Because he translated it without revision of wrong and omitted words.
