Optimization of CO₂Laser Welding Conditions for a Diamond Saw Blade

In this study, optimized CO₂laser welding process conditions of diamond saw blade were investigated. That's why variable process parameter were considered about not only heat input but also shielding gas condition, focal point, beam angle, joint design and sintered density. Quality estimation of laser welding joint was based upper bead shape, cross section and joining strength. As a results, we could derive a optimized process condition that had lower porosity rate and enough welding strength in both side welding.
