Subtractive LDW(laser direct write) on FR4 based printed circuit board (PCB) substrate was used to make circuit pattern on top of surface PCB substrate using a chirped-pulse-amplification Ti:sapphire laser. It was found that laser direct writing method and the treatment of chemical etching could be constructed pattern of circuit with no electroshorting and minimum HAZ (heat affected zone).
