『艶艶』에 수록된 잡체시에 대하여

A Study on the Miscellaneous Style Poetry(雜體詩) in 『Yŏmhwi』(艶彙)

본고에서는 『艶艶』에 실린 다양한 형식의 잡체시들을 분류하고 소개하였다. 『艶艶』는 필사본의 형태로, 편찬된 시기는 18세기 후반 이후로 추정된다. 『艶艶』의 편찬자는 밝혀지지 않았지만, 다양한 모양으로 시를 배열하고 讀法을 제시하여 보는 이로 하여금 시를 읽어내는데 도움을 얻을 수 있도록 하였다. 이는 책이 편찬된 것으로 추정되는 조선 후기에 잡체시가 다양한 형태로 전해지고 향유되었을 가능성을 뒷받침하는 것이기도 하다. 『艶艶』라는 제목은 ‘아름다움(艶) 을 모아놓은 책’ 이라는 뜻으로, 『艶艶』의 다른부분에는 宮詞와 李鈺의 <俚諺> 등이 수록되어 있다. 이러한 특징을 다양한 형식과 읽는 법을 추구한 잡체시와 함께 고려해 본다면, 편집자가 의도했던 ‘아름다움(艶)’의 일면을 살펴볼 수 있다.

The objective of this paper is to introduce various types of the miscellaneous style Poetry(雜體詩,Japchaesi) recorded in 『Y&#335;mhwi』 (艶彙, Charm Collection). The writer of 『Y&#335;mhwi』has not been found yet but it is considered to be written after the late 18th century. In this paper, I intended to classify and introduce the miscellaneous style poetry in 『Y&#335;mhwi』. The classification of the miscellaneous style poetry in this book is little complicated because there are controversies about the classification and the definition of this genre, Japchaesi. Some poems in 『Y&#335;mhwi』 cannot be exactly designated into a certain group. Considering that this book contains one well-known poem, 「Buby&#335;.klu」(浮碧樓), the writer may have collected different kinds of miscellaneous style poems and edited them, not creating by himself. Based on this fact, it is possible that miscellaneous style poems could have been created and enjoyed widely in the late period of Chos&#335;n dynasty. Moreover, poems 『Y&#335;mhwi』can be used as valuable materials for studying in various forms of miscellaneous style poems at that time. The title, 『Y&#335;mhwi,』means the book which contains charming things. The miscellaneous style poems in 『Y&#335;mhwi,』show various shapes, styles and patterns. The editor of this book gave hints for reading each poem because miscellaneous style poems are sometimes hard to understand without any instruction, like puzzles. In 『Y&#335;mhwi,』,there are different kinds of literary works such as Gung-sa(宮詞) and &#65378;I-&#335; (俚諺)」 Those characteristics are worthy of attention to understand the writer's aesthetic consciousness.
