A Fuzzy contingent valuation (FCV) method was performed to estimate the conservation value of the Bukhansan national park in Korea. The FCV survey was rigorously designed to comply with the guidelines for best-practiced FCV studies. Respondents overall accepted the hypothetical market and were willing to pay a significant amount (1,075.42 Korean won = USD 0.94), on average, per household annually to conserve the national park. These findings have important implications for efforts to consider environmental quality in policy decisions.
