보육교사의 전문성 인식

Child Care Teacher’s Recognition of Professionalization : Relative to establishment types, scholarship level, teaching career, and age

본 연구는 보육의 질을 좌우하는 중요한 역할을 담당하는 보육교사의 전문성 인식을 조사하여 보육교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구결과는 첫째, 정부지원시설에 근무하는 보육교사는 정부미지원시설에 근무하는 보육교사보다 사회, 경제적 지위에 대해 높은 인식을 가지고 있고 이는 정부지원시설의 보육교사들이 정부미지원시설의 보육교사들보다 근무조건이나 근무환경이 안정적이기 때문이다. 둘째, 전문대졸 이상의 학력을 가진 보육교사는 학력이 고졸인 보육교사보다 직업윤리에 대하여 높게 인식하고 있고, 이는 2004년 영유아보육법 개선을 통하여 보육교사들에게 상위 자격취득을 위한 승급교육이나 보수교육 등 현직교육강화의 효과로 판단된다. 셋째, 보육교사의 경력이 많을수록 직업윤리에 대하여 높게 인식하고 이는 보육교사 역할에 대한 사회적 인식 변화의 영향으로 보육교사의 직업윤리 강령을 시급히 마련한다. 넷째, 보육교사의 연령이 높아질수록 직업윤리에 대해 높게 인식하고 있고, 앞으로 우수한 보육교사를 확보하기 위하여 개개인의 보육교사들의 특성에 맞는 좀 더 체계적인 맞춤형 현직교육 방안을 마련하는 것이 필요하다고 판단된다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the basic materials for enhancing the specialization of child care teachers through analyzing the actual condition-establishment types, scholarship level, teaching career and age- of child care teachers’. The results can be summarized as follows; first, the teachers work at child care center supported by government have a high perception on social and economic position than the teachers work at child care center managed by private. Because stabilization in working condition and environment of child care center supported by government’s is higher than child care center managed by private. Second, the teachers with higher level scholarship have a high recognition on vocational ethics. This is due to in-service workshop program supported by government after 2004. Third, the teachers with longer teaching career have a high recognition on vocational ethics. Finally, the teachers with older age have a high recognition on vocational ethics than the teachers with young age. This study suggests that the in-service training program for child care teachers fit into their necessary and a specific character.
