Pop art is a style of modern art which began in the 1960s. It uses bright colours and takes a lot of its techniques and subject matter from everyday, modern life. The parody characteristics of pop art are easy to be communicated with people and have various elements of interest. This study is aimed to present design planning as a case of applying art by analysis of fashion collections reflecting parody characteristics of pop art. The characteristics of pop art are summarized as the extrinsic forms and the intrinsic meanings. The external forms are expressed as characters and slogans. The internal meanings are expressed as ridicules at seriousness, message on social issue, and nostalgia of the past. In conclusion parody characteristics of pop art are expressed with slogans and images that the argued words are written. In current society, it is easy to participate and approach to social issues and concerns. The parody characteristics of pop art correspond with a tendency of current masses that prefer the light, humorous, interesting and witty things to serious, difficult and hard things.
