영유아의 질병관리에 대한 보육교사의 지식 정도

A research on caregivers’ knowledge level concerning disease treatment in childhood

본 연구는 보육교사들이 가지고 있는 질병관리에 대한 지식의 정도를 분석함으로서 전문인으로서의 보육교사를 양성하기 위한 교사교육과정 및 현직 교사교육과정을 구성하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 보육교사 138명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 보육교사들이 가지고 있는 질병관리에 대한 지식의 전체 평균점수는 15점 만점에 11.79로 나타나 높은 편이며 개인 간의 격차가 큰 편으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사들의 변인에 따라 질병관리에 대한 지식의 정도는 26∼30세에 해당하는 보육교사들이 다른 연령대에 비해 전체 점수가 높게 나타났고, 법인기관의 경우가 높게 나타났으며, 학력이 높아질수록 점수가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시설장이 보육교사보다 양육경험이 있는 보육교사가 양육경험이 없는 보육교사보다 질병지식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대해 보육교사 양성과정과 현직 교육과정의 교육과정에서의 보완 방향을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this research is to provide data required to plan a curriculum for training current teachers and professional caregivers, through analyzing caregivers’ knowledge level concerning disease treatment, so it conducted a survey on 138 caregivers. The result of the survey is as follows. First, the caregivers were found to be well aware of disease treatment in general, scoring 11.79 out of 15, but the level of awareness varied upon individuals. Second, the caregivers whose ages ranged from 26 to 30 were the most familiar with knowledge about disease treatment across the age group, and so were teachers from corporation and the ones who were the most educated. Moreover, the principals of centers had more knowledge, and the ones who have experiences in taking care of children had more knowledge compared to the ones who didn’t have any experience. Hence, this study suggested the ways to make up current caregivers training program and enhance programs of existing curriculum.
