유아교사의 ICT 활용수업 수용시기에 따른 교사 개인 및 기관의 특성 비교

A Comparison of Early Childhood Teachers’ Individual and Organizational Characteristics by the Adoption Period of ICT in Class

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 정보통신기술(Information & Communication Technology: ICT) 활용수업의 수용시기에 따른 교사의 개인 및 기관의 특성을 비교하고, 그 수용시기에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는데 있다. 연구대상은 부산광역시 유아교육기관 교사 244명이며 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 분석으로는 SPSS WIN 14.0을 이용하여 카이자승 검증, t-test, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면 ICT 활용수업의 초기수용 다수집단의 교사와 후기수용 다수집단교사 간에 개인적 특성에서는 교사의 경력, 연수시간, ICT 활용능력, ICT 유용성 및 용이성에 대한 인식, ICT 활용에 대한 태도, 혁신수용 태도가 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 기관의 특성에서는 조직문화가 유의미한 차이가 있었다. ICT 활용수업 수용시기에 유의미하게 영향을 미치는 변인은 혁신수용태도, ICT 활용능력, ICT 용이성 인식으로, 혁신을 조기에 수용하고 ICT 활용능력이 높고 ICT를 쉽게 이용할 수 있다는 인식이 높을수록 ICT를 교실수업에 수용하는 시기가 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 유아교사들을 위한 ICT 활용 교육 프로그램개발 및 정책수립에 유용한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다

The purposes of this study are to compare individual and organizational characteristics of early childhood teachers by the adoption period of ICT in class, and to analyze the variables affecting such period. The study participants were 244 teachers working at early childhood education institutions in Busan and the data were collected through questionnaires. For the analysis of the data, Chi -square analysis, t-test and logistic regression analysis were run by SPSS WIN 14.0. This study showed that the early majority teacher group of ICT adoption in class was significantly different from the late majority teacher group in the following individual variables: working experience, training time, ICT ability, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of ICT use in class, attitudes to ICT use in class, and attitudes to innovation acceptance. Organizational culture among the organizational variables showed a significant difference between those two groups. The variables affecting the period of teachers’ ICT adoption in class were attitudes to innovation acceptance, ICT ability, and perceived usefulness of ICT use in class. This implies that early childhood teachers who have more positive attitudes to innovation acceptance, higher ICT ability, and higher perceived usefulness of ICT use in class are likely to early adopt ICT in their class. These findings can provide foundational information for the development of ICT training programs for early childhood teachers.
