보육교사의 근무유형, 자격, 경력, 연령에 따른 장학요구 유형 연구

Child Care Teacher’s Needs Type of Supervision Relative to establishment types, certificate level, teaching career, and age

본 연구는 보육의 질을 좌우하는 데는 보육교사의 발달이 매우 중요하다는 인식하에 보육교사의 개인배경에 따른 장학에 대한 요구를 조사하여 보육교사에 적합한 장학 유형을 제시하기 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구결과는 첫째, 정부미지원 보육시설에 근무하는 보육교사의 경우 ‘자기장학’과 ‘약식장학’에 대하여 정부지원시설보육시설에 근무하는 보육교사보다 더 높은 요구를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정부미지원 보육시설의 근무하는 교사가 ‘임상장학’, ‘동료장학’, ‘연수장학’, ‘협력장학’에서의 평균이 높은 것으로 조사되었으나, 이는 통계적으로 의미 있는 차이는 아니었다. 둘째, 보육교사 1급 자격을 가진 교사가 2급 자격을 가진 교사보다 ‘임상장학’에 대하여 더 높은 요구를 가지고 있는 것으로 조사되었으며, 보육교사 1급 자격을 가진 교사가 ‘수업장학’, ‘동료장학’, ‘자기장학’, ‘협력장학’에 대한 요구가 높은 반면, 보육교사 2급 자격을 가진 교사는 ‘약식장학’과 ‘연수장학’에 대한 요구가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사의 경력에 따른 집단 간 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 넷째, 보육교사의 연령에 따른 집단 간 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 보육교사가 근무하는 시설의 유형과 보유한 자격증 유형은 장학의 유형을 고려할 때, 유의미한 변인으로 간주될 수 있으며, 개개인의 보육교사들의 특성에 맞는 좀 더 체계적인 장학이 이루어질 수 있는 제도적 마련이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the basic materials for understanding of the needs type of supervision of child care teachers through analyzing the actual condition-establishment types, certificate level, teaching career and age- of child care teachers’. The results can be summarized as follows; first, the needs of the supervision of the teachers work at child care center managed by private is higher than the needs of the supervision of the teachers work at child care center supported by government. Second, the teachers with higher level certificate have a high needs on clinical supervision than the teachers with lower level certificate. Third, the teachers’ teaching career is not relative needs type of supervision. Finally, the teachers’ age is not relative needs type of supervision. This study suggests that the in-service supervision program for child care teachers fit into their necessary and a specific character.
