Frost의 다차원적 완벽주의 척도(MultidimensionalPerfectionism Scale)는 6개의 요인구조와 35개의 문항으로 구성된 척도로서 다양한 연구분야에서 널리 사용되고 있다.최근에는 하위요인들이 기능적 차원과 역기능적 차원으로 분류되면서 차원성 검증 및 문항 보완이 요구되고 있는 실정이다.따라서 본 연구에서는 양호한 문항으로 구성된 FMPS의 단축형을 구성하기 위하여 대학생 438명으로부터 수집된 반응자료를 바탕으로 기능적 차원과 역기능적 차원별로 Rasch평정척도 모형을 적용하였다.연구결과 기능적 완벽주의와 역기능적 완벽주의는 각각 단일차원성을 가정하는 것으로 나타났으며 두 차원 문항응답 범주의 수는 5개로 적절한 것으로 나타났다.문항의 적합도,차별기능문항분석,난이도에 대한 결과를 바탕으로 기능적 완벽주의 차원에서 6문항,부정적 완벽주의 차원에서 11문항을 선정하여 최종 17문항으로 구성된 단축형을 제안하였다.
FMPS developed by Frost, Martin, Lebart and Roblate(1990) is a 35-item self-report scale, which has 6 factor structure. Recent studies explored the functional and disfunctional dimensions of perfectionism. This study aims to develop a shorter version of FMPS which has the better psychometric properties using Rasch rating scale model in the sample of 438 under graduate students. Results showed that 5 point rating scale was appropriate. 6 items for functional perfectionism scale and 11 items for disfunctional perfectionism scale were finally selected for a short version of the FMPS based on the item fit, differentiated function item analysis, item difficulty indexs esestimates from Rasch model.
