It is common that book-brokers began to be active from about 16th century and have an influence on progress of book distribution & the publishing business in Korea an China. Book-broker was called by SeoKyei(書儈) or ChaekKyei(冊儈) in Korea and called by SeoKyei(書儈) or Book Ship[書般] in China. Book-brokes can be classified into 3 types-type of being active only in a capital, type of coming and going between a capital and a local, type of wandering only on local cities by their area of activity, and classified into 3 types-an expert type, an multiple occupation(a side job) type, an intellectual type by their functions and character.
