One reason why comparisons between literary works and history of Korea and Poland are meaningful only intermittently is that both country have similar historical, literal character virtually different from the rest of the world in about 1990, even though there is no relationship in culture and politics between Korea and Poland. It is important period in case of literature and aspect of historical understanding, specially before and after 1900, since both country had noticed existence and meaning of the other side historically at the first time and that both were in a same shoes in history. In that period, we can figure out facts that some writer and officers who visited on Korea and Poland wrote a few works, which shows us that they thought. For example, Kim Deuk Ryun(金得鍊), who had been to Poland as a member of mission in 1896, wrote by chinese poetry what he saw and felt about Poland. In his poem, poet confessed that he felt pity for fate of Poland which had already disappeared out of European map at that time, and in addition to it, we Korean also have to take a lesson from Poland`s case because it`s not only problem of Poland but also of Korean own`s On the other hand, W. Sieroszewski, who was famous writer around Poland, also visited to Korea, and wrote a report(Korea: Key of Far-East) and a novel(Ol-soni Kisan) about history and People of Korea. In his works, it is said that historical situation and fate of Korea are so similar to his own country that he have common sufferers pity each other. In about 1900, we are also able to understand the fact that Korean have a lot of concerning about Polish history, people and requirement for independence through books of foreign country`s history translated for independence through books of foreign country`s translated like `Paranmalryunjeonsa(波蘭末年戰史)‘ or newspapers like `Daehanmaeilsinbo(大韓每日申報)’. In conclusion, people of both country wanted each other to understand and realize what they to do from history and fate of the other side country, and as the result, some writer have left by literary works that they felt, thought and understood. This seeming similarity in those works is proof, and really means that Poland and Korea`s literature as a literature of the third world show us equal character and similar estimation in the history of world literature.
